State Senator Dave Wallace graduated from Leachville High School and attended Arkansas State University for four years, where he was part of the ROTC program. After graduation from Embry-Riddle, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, flying attack helicopters during the Vietnam War and eventually rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

 

He was shot down twice, decorated for heroism seven times, and has been inducted into three Military Hall of Fame organizations. Senator Wallace is a successful businessman and a champion of lower taxes and economic growth. He has authored multiple bills on jobs and economic development, including those supporting the steel industry.

 

He is married to Karen Wallace, with whom he has two children and one very sweet granddaughter.
